Description
The product is intended for dental treatment as a filling and remineralization material for root canals. When mixed with BIO MTA+ liquid, the shelf life is approx. 4 min, and the compound sets completely in approx. 2 hours
The high content of calcium ions remineralizes dental tissue. Silicon and calcium compounds promote tissue regeneration after wall perforation and intracanal resorption. BIO MTA+ contains hydroxyapatite, a natural component of bones, which perfectly integrates the compound into the bone structure.
BIO MTA+ is especially recommended in:
– perforation of the root canal wall
– intracanal resorption
– filling of the posterior root apex
– direct coating of the pulp
– pulp amputation
– treatment of teeth with interrupted root development.
BIO MTA+ is not suitable as a stand-alone permanent root canal filling.
Once its two components are mixed, BIO MTA+ has an extremely plastic and cohesive consistency without breaking and remaining on the instruments. This facilitates the application of BIO MTA+ compared to traditional MTA compounds.
Composition:
BIO MTA+ powder: calcium oxide, hydroxyapatite, oxides of: silicon, iron, aluminum, sodium, potassium, bismuth, magnesium, zirconium; Calcium phosphate.
BIO MTA+ liquid: Ph. Eur. purified water, calcium catalyst.
